HISTORY

Trinity Christian School was founded in 1978 by Dr. Chester Allen.  His vision was to start a Christian school that would be a ministry to all Christian families in the area.  Dr. Allen wanted this school to provide excellence in the following ways:

  • Emphasizing academics within a nurturing Christian environment.

  • Excellent facilities operated with the highest of professional standards.

  • An evangelistic tool in the community with an emphasis on teaching Christian service.

The school has undergone changes through the years, and in September, 2002, relocated to its current, beautiful location at Sunland Neighborhood Church in Sunland, California, and continues to offer K - 6th grades.

MISSION

Trinity Christian School was established within the Foothill Community to provide affordable, quality, private Christian education.  As a ministry in support of parents and the church, the school maintains a strong academic program, with every facet of instruction presented from a biblically-based Christian world view.  The school stresses the development of character, leadership and Christian service through the teaching of the Scriptures and a well rounded academic education.

PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy of education is based on the conviction that knowledge of God and His Word are essential to the spiritual, mental, physical, and social growth of each student.  We strive to achieve this by:

  • Spiritually helping students develop or mature in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Socially helping students to develop positive relationships with staff, teachers, students, parents, and their peers.

  • Physically providing opportunities for activities in sports, recreation, and participation in Physical Education programs.

  • Mentally integrating the highest academic experience possible with a Christian perspective to achieve a balanced education.

PURPOSE

Our primary aim is that every student would develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learn to interpret all knowledge and education through eyes and actions that reflect a truly Christian perspective.

The school provides an atmosphere of caring for the whole child that will encourage the development of each child to his or her full potential.  Our faculty works with parents to impress upon their children the importance of His workmanship, created for good works in Christ that will reflect Christian standards and ethics, written or implied, both on and off the campus.

The school maintains a strong academic curriculum with emphasis on mastering the basics in Bible, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education.  Instruction also includes computer, and the fine arts.  Co-curricular opportunities include weekly chapels, field trips, assemblies, clubs, and various activities during after school hours, including a full summer Daycamp program.

NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Trinity Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origins in administration of its educational policies, athletic and other school administered programs.

NON-DENOMINATIONAL POLICY

Trinity Christian School is a non-denominational school, affiliated with A.C.S.I. (Association of Christian Schools International).  Our statement of faith reflects our firm position and belief that the Bible is the complete, inspired, and authoritative Word of God.  Though we recognize the diversity of viewpoints on certain secondary biblical doctrines, our school celebrates and emphasizes those biblical core values that promote the one faith, one hope, one Lord, one baptism, that Christians hold in common.  While it would not be the school's desire to antagonize, attack or single out different denominations or religious groups, any teachings that deny or add to the Bible as the only authoritative Word of God will be exposed as unbiblical.
