Ways
to give to Trinity Christian School
There are many
ways to support Trinity Christian School. Some donors make current gifts,
and while others choose to satisfy their commitment over a period of time.
The majority of the outright gifts received are applied to the growing need for
financial aid to assist local families who are struggling, and can only consider
Trinity for their child if they can receive financial assistance.
Because Trinity
Christian School is a non-profit organization, gifts qualify for an income-tax
charitable deduction. For further information on any aspect of giving, we
invite you to contact the Trinity Christian School Office at 818-352-7980. A
member of the staff will be pleased to answer your questions.

Outright
Gifts
-
-
Outright gifts -- gifts of cash, securities or
other property -- provide Trinity Christian School with much-needed
financial assistance. Outright gifts have an immediate impact on Trinity Christian
School's programs because they can be used to support a variety of current
needs.

Gift Pledges
-
A pledge is a formal statement of intention to
make a gift to Trinity Christian School. It may be followed by an immediate
gift, or it may simply confirm your intention to make a gift in the future. Some
donors have chosen to complete their gift pledge by making regular payments over
a period of time. This method often allows donors to give more generously than
they may have originally considered.
-
Matching Gifts
-
Many corporations have demonstrated their support
for Trinity Christian School by matching, or multiplying, their employees' gifts
to the school, up to a set amount. Before you make a gift, you may want to ask
whether your employer participates in such a program. Certain restrictions apply
to matching gifts; please consult your company's personnel office for further
information.
Appreciated Securities
A gift of long-term appreciated
marketable securities helps you save taxes twice. Such a gift will provide an
income-tax charitable deduction and capital gains tax savings.
Gifts
of Real Estate
When you give a gift of your home or real
property to Trinity Christian School, you may claim an income-tax charitable
deduction based on the full market value of the gift, avoid capital gains taxes,
and eliminate certain costs associated with the transfer of real property.
Gifts of real estate can also provide income to you.
Gifts of Endowment
A gift for endowment demonstrates your farsighted
commitment to Trinity Christian School. An endowment is a fund that is
maintained in perpetuity, and only a portion of the annual investment return is
used for the purposes specified by the donor. The rest of the investment yield
is returned to principle. Thus, over the years, the fund can grow and hopefully
keep pace with inflation. Such endowments, which typically bear the name of the
donor or donors, reflect your interests and serve as an enduring testament to
your generosity.
Making a Planned Gift
Planned gifts are gift arrangements that have
specific tax advantages and often include lifetime income to a beneficiary or
beneficiaries named by the donor. Planned giving methods may allow you to enjoy
the benefits today: capital gains tax savings, increased income and income-tax
savings, to name a few.
The Rewards of Giving
However
you choose to support Trinity Christian School, your gift will help make the
difference in the lives of the
children and families at Trinity Christian School. Thank you in advance
for your prayers and generosity! |
